Job description:
Major Responsibilities
- Develop and implement daily lesson plans using the Frog Street Pre-K curriculum, incorporating all domains of learning (cognitive, language, physical, social-emotional).
- Integrate literacy, numeracy, science, social studies, and creative arts into routines and activities
- Differentiate instruction to meet individual child needs, including those with IEPs or dual language learners.
- Foster a culturally responsive and inclusive learning environment using Conscious Discipline principles for classroom management and emotional regulation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a closely related field.
- CPR/First Aid certification required or willingness to obtain upon hire.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality about issues related to children and their families.
- Salary Range $19.50-$ 25.00 an hour (based on degree and experience) Highly competitive benefits package Tuition reimbursement available
- State of NM ECE professional development hours are provided by Head Start. The Head Start Teacher works under the supervision of the agency's Education Services Manager.
