The Workers' Compensation Administration assures the quick and efficient delivery of indemnity and medical benefits to injured workers at a reasonable cost to employers.
Why does the job exist?
The purpose of this position is to manage the Hobbs Field Office by overseeing the execution of three major WCA Programs; Ombudsman, Safety and Compliance. To support the Dispute Resolution program in the geographical area of the state.
How does it get done?
The position will manage and supervise the Field Office Team to ensure timely and consistent delivery of services to all customers throughout the assigned region by implementing and directing the field office team public relations activities to provide the widest dissemination of WC information to all communities; Manage resources responsibly in effort to ensure that funds for travel, training and supplies are available based on past performance and future goals. Evaluate personnel to achieve effectiveness in training, development and delegation of tasks to subordinates to achieve goals of the agency. Maintain records to assist in the hiring, delegation, training and development of personnel assigned to the field office.

Provide necessary workers' compensation related services to New Mexico businesses.
Ideal Candidate
- At least three (3) years experience supervising and managing employees.
- Operating efficiency, ability to manage and lead a team.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suites.
- Experience conducting presentations, workshops and face-to-face outreach.
- Experience with Workers' Compensation rules and statutes.
Minimum Qualification
A Bachelor's Degree in any field of study from an accredited college or university and four (4) years of professional level experience operating within limited parameters and guidelines directly related to the purpose of the position defined by the agency at the time of recruitment. Any combination of education from an accredited college or university and/or direct experience in this occupation totaling eight (8) years may substitute for the required education and experience. A hiring agency will designate a portion of the required experience to include supervisory and/or specialized experience. Any required licensure, certification or registration shall be defined at the time of recruitment and will be in addition to the above requirements.
