Beehive Homes of Hobbs Assisted Living and Memory Care is seeking a dedicated and compassionate leader for our assistant manager position. We are seeking someone who is compassionate about senior care and has experience with Alzheimer's and dementia care. The purpose of this position is to be a team leader that leads by example. As assistant manager, you will work the floor and preform essential duties of a caregiver/CNA while leading a small team of caregivers. Additionally, there will be administrative tasks that are to be completed in the office with the House Manager. This position does have a mandatory on call schedule.
This is a full time position with a lot of responsibility. Normal schedule is Monday-Friday 6am-2pm. Applicant must be available to work weekends, evenings, and graveyard shifts when on call.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
-Assisting residents with daily tasks, including but not limited to: medication assistance, dressing, toileting, incontinence care, transferring, and oral care.
-Preforming essential duties for our residents such as: housekeeping and laundry
-Ensuring that all tasks are completed in a timely, caring, and professional manner
-Assisting house manager with administrative tasks such as data entry, filing documents, and ensuring resident records are up to date.
-Schedule making
-Organizing, filing, and storing documents
-Ensuring that all staff adhere to policies and procedures
-Assisting with job interviews and the hiring process
-Auditing and ordering necessary supplies
-Taking call as required by the on call schedule, and covering shifts as needed
-Effective communication with residents, nurses, family members, and staff

Skills that are preferred, but not required:
-Experience working in assisted living or skilled nursing facility
-Experience working with seniors, particularly Alzheimer's, dementia, and memory care.
-At least 1 year of managing a team
-General knowledge about medications and medication assistance
